At Mon & Velarde we use “full grain” leather for our shoes. This is taken from the "Loin" the strongest and most durable part of the bovine, just below its fur.
It has a semi-waxed and nubuck finish. In addition, with constant use it develops a worn appearance, which gives it a vintage and luxurious look highlighting the nobility of the material.
This variety has a soft and flexible texture; in addition, it is characterized by its durability and resistance to tension.
CARE GUIDE FOR SHOES
Recommendations and care:
- Remove dust with a dry cloth.
- Apply natural wax or colorless cream evenly with a cloth.
- Rub with a soft sponge once the cream is dry.
- Store the shoe with paper in the toe box.
- Protect the shoe from moisture.
- Avoid bristle brushes, as they can leave noticeable marks.
- Do not use alcohol, solvents, soda, perfume. These products can alter the original color of the leather.
